Frequently asked questions
Which system do I need – a paging system or a calling system?
A paging system is for notifying customers: they take a pager and it buzzes when their order is ready. A calling system is for notifying staff: a button on the table or at the bedside alerts a waiter or nurse on a watch receiver or wall display. Many venues use both.
What range do the systems have?
Most of our guest pager systems work over 400–1000 m in open space. Walls, floors and metal reduce range, so as a rule of thumb allow for around half the rated distance inside a building. If you have a large or multi-level venue, contact us and we will recommend the right transmitter.
Do I need an electrician or any wiring?
No. Transmitters plug into a standard power point, pagers and call buttons are battery-powered or rechargeable, and every system arrives pre-paired. Most venues are running within 15 minutes of unboxing.
Are there any subscription or monthly fees?
No. You buy the system once and it is yours. The only ongoing cost is replacement batteries for call buttons.
Can I add more pagers or call buttons later?
Yes. Additional pagers, coasters and call buttons can be paired to your existing transmitter. Keep your model number (for example WPS161 or WCS101) handy when you order.
Will the system interfere with Wi-Fi, EFTPOS or other equipment?
No. Our systems operate on licence-free radio frequencies that are separate from Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and do not affect EFTPOS terminals or medical equipment.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are dispatched from our Auckland warehouse, usually within 1–2 business days. Delivery to most NZ addresses takes 1–3 business days after dispatch. See our Shipping Policy for details.
What if something goes wrong with my system?
All products are covered by the NZ Consumer Guarantees Act. If a product is faulty, contact us on +64 21 262 4414 and we will repair, replace or refund it in line with our Refund & Return Policy.
Do you offer trade or bulk pricing?
Yes. For multi-site operators, hospitals, franchises and installers we can provide volume pricing. Email info@asaving.co.nz with your requirements.
Can I pick up my order?
Pick-up from our East Tāmaki, Auckland location can be arranged by appointment. Call +64 21 262 4414 to organise a time.
