The JimiLab VL512 is a 4G LTE OBD II GPS tracker that installs in seconds — no tools, no wiring, no technician. Plug it into the vehicle's OBD II port (9–36 V, so it suits cars, utes, vans and light trucks) and it starts reporting straight away. Rolling it out across a whole fleet takes minutes, not days — and there's no installer to pay.

With GPS + BDS dual-satellite positioning (accuracy better than 2.5 m) and LTE Cat 1 with automatic 2G GSM fallback, the VL512 stays accurate and connected across New Zealand. A built-in accelerometer scores driver behaviour and flags harsh braking, harsh acceleration, sharp cornering and collisions. Its built-in microphone allows discreet remote voice monitoring (up to 5 m), and a 16 + 16 MB on-board memory stores data during signal loss and uploads it once reconnected.

1. Connect the splitter to the vehicle's original OBD II port.
2. Keep the diagnostic socket accessible – mechanics and scan tools plug in as normal.
3. Secure the VL512 behind the dashboard – no visible sign of a tracker, harder to tamper with, better theft recovery.

Will it fit my vehicles? The VL512 works with any vehicle with a standard 16-pin OBD II port and a 9–36 V system — most cars, utes, vans and light trucks built since the early 2000s.

Do I need a technician? No. Plug the tracker into the OBD II port (usually under the dashboard on the driver's side). For a hidden install, use the Y-splitter and tuck the tracker behind the dash trim.

VL512 or VL505 – which should I choose? Both work with TracksolidPro. Choose the VL512 if you want remote voice monitoring, a larger on-board data buffer and a USB-C configuration port; the VL505 is our most compact and lowest-cost option.
